In this unprecedented fight against COVID-19, the Greater Cincinnati Chinese Association (GCCA), has teamed up with the Greater Cincinnati Chinese Music Society (GCCMS), P&G Chinese Community, Zavon-Nexus Property Group│Keller Williams, and other local doctors and friends, to proactively organize donations in the Cincinnati area. The GCCA board has established a team that is formed by volunteers from local companies and communities. This team accomplished many challenges, including investigating sources for medical masks, verifying requirements for medical mask imports from China, overcoming a complicated custom clearance process, and connecting with local hospitals. As a result, our team has successfully delivered and donated 17000 medical masks to 4 big local hospitals including UC Health hospitals, Jewish hospital, Bethesda North hospital, and Cincinnati VA hospital, and also 2000 medical masks to the emergency ambulance team and police officers in the City of Mason. We are happy to have contributed in this way to the local community’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. We plan to make further contributions in joint efforts with the greater Cincinnati community to win the fight against COVID-19.
